We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate health professional (nurse, social worker, occupational therapist) to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team in Dartford, Kent. Our service is driven by the principles of the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and offers the latest evidence-based, NICE-compliant psychological interventions to children, young people, and their families facing emotional wellbeing and mental health challenges.
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative individual with experience working with people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.
Probationary Period: This post is subject to a probationary period. However, internal applicants are exempt unless currently partway through a probationary period or employed as bank staff.
Starting with NELFT: At NELFT, we prioritize ensuring new starters feel welcomed and supported. All new employees join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undergo a comprehensive induction program lasting up to two weeks. This induction includes mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment. New starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend various drop-in sessions focused on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction takes place at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Key Responsibilities:
- Routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based interventions in line with the CY-IAPT programme within CYPMHS.
- Promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families in the community through clinical interventions.
- Undertake initial school-based and community-based assessments, providing early interventions to children and young people with various emotional and psychological difficulties.
- Assess and develop care plans to meet the needs of patients with diverse conditions.
