Oscott Manor School is seeking a flexible and talented Class Teacher to join their team. Our school is a lively and inclusive community special school for students aged 11 to 19 with autism as their major diagnosis.

It’s an exciting time to join Oscott Manor. We are at the start of an improvement journey to ensure a high-quality education for all students that study us. Our school is a fast-paced and lively atmosphere in which all staff are dedicated to working collaboratively with families to improve the life chances of the students in our care.

At Oscott Manor School, the child or young person’s experience comes first, and we expect all actions and decisions to reflect that. We are pleased to be a Gold UNICEF Rights Respecting School.

All of our students have an education, health, and care plan, and some may have ongoing issues with social interaction, communication, or emotional understanding. These disparities can have a substantial impact on their access to the curriculum. Our broad curriculum aims to build knowledge and skills while also preparing students for adulthood by educating them to be ready, respectful, and safe, as well as to develop independence.

We are searching for a certified teacher who can carefully alter their instruction to ensure challenge and growth, and who is unwavering in their pursuit of positive results for young people. Successful candidates may be expected to work at either the main site on Reservoir Road B23 6DE or The Sixth Form Centre at Ryland Road B24 8JJ. This position may be based at Key Stage 3, 4, or 5.

Teachers with any topic speciality and experience in elementary, secondary, or special education are encouraged to submit applications. This role carries major inclusiveness and pastoral obligations, thus all candidates should read the job description thoroughly before applying.

Furthermore, the class that the chosen candidate will lead can be in any of our routes, from Pathway 1 (formal academic curriculum) to Pathway 5 (casual developmental curriculum).

Visits are welcome and strongly encouraged. If you want to discuss this post or schedule a preliminary visit, please contact
