Salary: £37,035 – £39,513
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role

As a Social Worker in our Mental Health Unit Duty Team, you will play a key role in providing statutory social work services to adults accessing secondary mental health services across Leeds. Working within a small team, you will be the first point of contact for service users, carers, and professionals, responding to urgent needs and undertaking short-term preventative work.

This role involves:

Screening referrals, gathering information, and making key decisions.

Conducting assessments in the community and on psychiatric wards.

Managing safeguarding enquiries and interventions.

Collaborating with statutory, independent, and third-sector organisations.

This is an office-based role at Tribeca House, ensuring close collaboration with colleagues and access to regular supervision with the Duty Coordinator. As the team expands, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop the service to best support the Mental Health Unit.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Social Worker who can confidently manage challenging situations. You should have:

A strong understanding of relevant legislation and experience implementing statutory responsibilities.

The ability to think critically and problem-solve in fast-paced scenarios.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users, families, and professionals.

Experience in safeguarding adults and working within a multi-agency environment.
