Community Lead – Langdon House Care Home
As a Community Lead at Langdon House Care Home, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and management of our residential community, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for both residents and staff.

Langdon House is a highly regarded residential care home in Cambridge. We take pride in offering a family-oriented atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and providing exceptional care to all of our residents. Our peaceful location in Chesterton, just three miles from Cambridge city centre, is home to 51 residents, offering round-the-clock care in a warm, welcoming environment.
About the Role
As Community Lead, you will oversee clinical audits, manage the safe administration of medication, and supervise the care team. Your role will also involve being a role model for your team, ensuring our residents and their families feel confident in the high standards of care and support we provide. You will play an essential part in fostering a reassuring, happy environment where both residents and staff thrive.
Salary
£15.87 per hour.
Shift Pattern
Various hours per week, with 12-hour shifts on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday).
Location
Langdon House, 20 Union Lane, Chesterton, Cambridge, CB4 1QB – 3 miles from the city centre.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the unit proactively, ensuring efficient and compassionate care at all times.
Complete monthly clinical audits on key areas, including medication management, pressure ulcer prevention, diet and hydration, and care planning.
Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through monthly audits and planned approaches such as the “Resident of the Day” initiative.
Ensure supervision and performance reviews are conducted for all team members, following company policies and procedures.
Act as a trusted leader, providing guidance, support, and motivation to your team while maintaining high standards of care.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
A genuine passion for care, with a commitment to putting the needs of our residents first.
A minimum of two years’ experience in shift leadership and management within a care setting.
Proven experience in leading, empowering, and motivating a clinical team to deliver exceptional care.
