Job Description

Position: Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead
Location: Barchester Care Home

As a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead at Barchester, you will play a key role in upholding the high standards of care for which we are known. Working closely with the General Manager, you will take on leadership responsibilities in their absence, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and motivating your team. Your leadership will help ensure that residents receive the best possible quality of life, by setting standards, conducting regular audits, supervising clinical practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the General Manager and step into leadership duties during their absence.

Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that care standards are consistently met.

Motivate and guide your team to help residents enjoy a fulfilling life.

Monitor and evaluate care standards through audits and regulatory compliance checks.

Develop and implement strategies to meet goals and maintain the highest standards of care.

About You:

To be considered for this role, you must be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration, and hold a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. Experience working with residents with diverse health needs is essential, as well as a successful track record in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. Additional experience in HR, sales and marketing, budget management, and supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship will be highly beneficial. Qualifications:

Essential: Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration

Teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification

Experience in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments

HR experience and a strong understanding of sales, marketing, and budget management
