The successful candidate will work closely with the team to lead in providing the highest standards of care, assessment, treatment, and support to those within the service.

Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required
Inpatient wards/units are designed to meet the holistic needs of service users/patients and carers, in an environment that promotes staff development and well-being. The role involves supporting the delivery of the ward/unit through:

  • Promoting teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence, and compassion in line with the Trust’s values and code of conduct
  • Demonstrating clinical leadership and oversight of clinical practice
  • Providing clinical supervision to junior staff, leading shifts, and conducting clinical audits when necessary

Offering leadership within the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care planning, assessment, and monitoring of care provided to inpatient service users, including implementing and evaluating meaningful activities

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential)

  • 1st level registered nurse, RNMH, RNLD with current NMC registration
  • Mentorship registration with NMC

Experience (Essential)

  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
  • Strong knowledge of various models of practice in social and health care, including delivering CBT-based interventions
  • Experience with interventions and strategies that address social and health care needs
  • Knowledge of current national legislation and professional standards (e.g., Community Care Act, Mental Health Act)
