About the Role
This is an opportunity to join a student-focused team dedicated to improving financial wellbeing and supporting academic success. As a Student Funding and Success Administrator, you will play a central role in helping students access financial support and make informed decisions throughout their studies.
Working within the Student Financial Support and Customer Service team, you’ll contribute to a service that directly impacts student retention, progression, and overall experience. The role combines administrative precision with meaningful student interaction, offering both operational and developmental responsibilities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your work will involve a balance of financial administration, student support, and service development:
- Managing bursaries, scholarships, and financial support schemes, including those linked to Access and Participation Plans
Reviewing and assessing student applications for funding with accuracy and fairness
Maintaining detailed financial records and producing reports to support decision-making
Providing clear, timely, and sensitive guidance to students regarding financial matters
Using digital tools (e.g. student insight platforms) to identify students at financial risk and support retention initiatives
Supporting communication campaigns to raise awareness of financial wellbeing resources
Updating website content and responding to queries via service platforms and appointments
Contributing to service improvement, policy development, and digital innovation projects
Supporting surveys, focus groups, and data analysis to evaluate service effectiveness
Representing the team at student-facing events such as Open Days and Welcome Week

Background in financial administration or student support services
Experience handling large datasets or reporting tools
Familiarity with higher education environments or student funding systems
