Job Summary
We are seeking a Preparation Area Technician to support teaching and research activities within the School of Life Sciences and Warwick Medical School. This role ensures the provision of clean and sterile consumables while maintaining operational consistency across the week.
About the Role
- Collect and autoclave waste for disposal
- Wash, sterilise, and prepare glassware for reuse
- Supply commonly used consumables within laboratories
- Work flexibly across both departments as part of a wider technical support team
This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) with a flexible start date.
About You
✔ NVQ Level 1/2, GCSEs, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
✔ Strong customer service skills with the ability to multi-task
✔ Some experience in a laboratory environment (desirable)
✔ Knowledge of sterilisation processes (preferred)
Full on-the-job training will be provided.
