Sherwood Forest Hospitals are expanding their Radiology Service and are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Imaging Assistants to support patient care across a range of diagnostic services.
About the Role
As an Imaging Assistant, you will play an essential supporting role within the Radiology team. While this is a non-nursing position, your contribution will be key to ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for throughout their imaging experience.
You will work alongside radiographers and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced setting where teamwork and communication are vital.
What You’ll Be Involved In
This role offers hands-on experience across multiple imaging areas, including:
- Ultrasound
CT (Computed Tomography)
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
X-ray services
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures
Assisting radiographic staff during examinations
Providing reassurance and clear communication to patients
Supporting the smooth running of the department
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment
No two days are the same, making this a varied and engaging role.
