Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available at BDCFT for a Band 5 Community Nurse to join the School Aged Immunisation Service (SAIS) in Bradford.
Our team operates from Horton Park and Undercliff Health Centre, and as we cover the entire Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale, and Craven areas, the successful candidate must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
The Bradford Immunisation Team is an innovative, dynamic, and supportive group dedicated to improving immunisation rates across the region. We aim to reach individuals who may be harder to access or are no longer in mainstream education.
This is a fast-paced and busy role, so you will need to be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with the team.
As we serve a diverse community, strong communication skills are essential.
Applicants should be creative and willing to work flexibly and collaboratively with both team members and multidisciplinary colleagues throughout Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale, and Craven.
The role is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with occasional adjustments to start at 8:00am for timely vaccination sessions. The post holder will also be required to work until 5:00pm to support after-school clinics, and there may be occasional Saturday work.
You must be a registered nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
This part-time position offers 22.5 hours per week, with flexible working throughout the year to meet service needs.
The successful candidate will contribute to delivering the school-aged vaccination program in a safe and inclusive manner, adhering to the NMC code of conduct. The role is primarily office and school-based, but during school holidays, you will help run clinics in various settings.
