About the Role

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for compassionate and dependable individuals to join our clinical teams as Clinical Support Workers.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a positive difference to patients during their time in hospital. You will work closely with Registered Nurses, doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team, providing practical and emotional support while helping patients receive safe, respectful and high-quality care.

You will be an important part of the day-to-day running of the clinical area and will contribute to creating an environment where patients feel comfortable, valued and well cared for.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will vary according to the clinical area, but may include:

– Helping patients with personal care and everyday activities.
– Supporting patients with their comfort, nutrition and general wellbeing.
– Taking, checking and accurately documenting vital signs and other observations.
– Recognising and reporting changes in a patient’s condition to the appropriate member of the clinical team.
– Maintaining cleanliness and high standards of infection prevention.
– Checking and replenishing clinical equipment and supplies.
– Helping the ward or department operate efficiently throughout the day.
– Completing appropriate administrative and record-keeping duties.
– Responding promptly and appropriately to patients’ needs.
– Protecting patients’ privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
– Working cooperatively with colleagues across the wider healthcare team.
