Join Our Forward-Thinking Pre-Operative Assessment Unit
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated nurse to join our dynamic Pre-Operative Assessment Unit. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, delivering the highest standard of patient care. The focus is on meeting each patient’s unique needs during the pre-operative process, with the aim of preventing last-minute surgery cancellations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Unit Manager, provide skilled nursing care and assessments within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring individualized, safe, and effective care.
- Contribute to a positive team spirit while maintaining high standards of nursing care and assessments.
- Serve as a key resource in both orthopaedic and pre-operative assessment specialisms.
- Empower junior staff to develop their clinical skills and foster effective communication across all care groups.
- Maximise the use of unit resources to promote best practice and address quality issues relevant to service delivery.

Our hospital is located just outside Oswestry, Shropshire, on the A5. The nearest train station is Gobowen, approximately two miles from the hospital, and is on the Chester to Birmingham line.
