The Role
Employer: Purdy Contracts
Position: Electrician
Location: London/Essex
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (plus overtime)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience), with OTE £45,000 including bonuses, overtime, and pricework
Equipment Provided: Company van, fuel card, purchase card, uniform, Samsung tablet (valid UK driving licence required)
Key Responsibilities
- Responsive Maintenance: Perform electrical compliance tasks, including EICR inspections, remedial work, consumer unit replacements, emergency lighting, day-to-day repairs, and full rewires.
- Quality Workmanship: Ensure all work meets high-quality standards, adhering to best practices.
- Timeliness and Productivity: Complete tasks efficiently and within required timeframes, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and tenants.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, professional, and flexible service while working in clients’ homes or around tenants to maintain strong relationships and customer satisfaction.
Your Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of electrical systems for maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics.
- Experience in planned and reactive maintenance within the Local Authority or Social Housing sector is a strong advantage.
- NVQ Level 3/AM2 qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or later) certification.
- 2391 Testing and Inspection certification.
