Online Distance Learning Marketing Manager

About the Role

The University of Sussex is seeking a motivated, well-organized, and experienced marketing professional to join as Online Distance Learning (ODL) Marketing Manager. You will play a key role in supporting and enhancing student recruitment through effective brand and marketing strategies.

This position involves working closely with internal teams across the University and our external partner, Boundless Education, who support the delivery and promotion of Sussex’s online postgraduate programmes. Since launching our first online Master’s in 2018, the ODL provision has grown significantly, and this role is central to its continued success.

You will be the primary marketing contact for ODL, ensuring alignment with Sussex’s brand, reviewing marketing campaigns, and collaborating across departments to drive student engagement and enrolment.

About You

You will bring:

Strong marketing experience, particularly in brand management and campaign strategy.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise and collaborate with external partners.

Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.

Strong communication and writing skills.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

About the Division

You will join the Communication, Engagement and Advancement division, working collaboratively with colleagues focused on enhancing the overall student experience. This includes services such as academic quality, careers, wellbeing, and student support – all working to help students achieve their full potential.
