What is the role?

Marine grads will pursue a specialised course. Throughout your graduate programme, you will collaborate with specialists in your field to gain experience in the corporate world. The specialist road will allow you to gain knowledge and experience, ultimately leading to a substantive position within the Marine team.

The Marine Team is a relatively new department within SSEN Transmission, having been founded just over two years ago to prepare for and play a significant role in the UK’s ‘Net Zero’ race. We have a growing portfolio of significant marine installation projects for the next ten years, including the installation and ongoing safeguarding of important national infrastructure.

The team is developing the capacity for “best in class” offshore cable installation projects by assembling a team to manage all areas of marine delivery, safety, logistics, vessel assurance, and survey support throughout the marine infrastructure’s lifecycle.

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are selecting competent installation contractors and maximising our capacity to engage with the best in the business, while also leading by example, in order to complete the projects safely and on budget.

What do I need?

You will need at least a 2:2 bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Construction Management, or Geosciences.

We’d like you to have some hands-on work experience that displays your enthusiasm for the energy business, as well as shown teamwork skills. You’ll also be comfortable working to and establishing challenging individual targets, as well as taking initiative to overcome problems, and you’ll have a real interest in SSEN Transmission and the chance of a long-term career with us.
