Job Description

Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Site Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at the Bristol Robotic Services facility. This role ensures that engineering, operations, and on-site teams deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient outcomes aligned with ATMRO (Aerospace Test, Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) and CES (Customer Engineering Services) business objectives. The position plays a key part in driving operational performance, quality standards, and business improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Manage overall site operations to meet defined goals in safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

Oversee production, engineering, and administrative activities to ensure alignment with business priorities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product Line Services to prioritize and execute product delivery plans.

Safety & Compliance

Lead the Site Safety Management System in partnership with the EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) lead.

Ensure full compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Oversee facility and building maintenance to provide a safe and efficient working environment.

Quality Management

Ensure that all products, systems, and services meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and GE’s Quality Management System.

Drive continuous improvement in design, procurement, and customer operations throughout the product lifecycle.

Project & Resource Management

Deliver on-site projects, capital expenditure plans, and production targets as outlined in the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) priorities.

Manage budgets and resources effectively to support organizational goals.

Leadership & Culture

Lead and coach a team of salaried employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Apply FLIGHT DECK principles and routines — leading daily, weekly, and monthly operating cadences to ensure performance tracking and problem-solving.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Significant experience in manufacturing operations or plant management, ideally within aerospace or advanced engineering sectors.

Educational background comparable to a Master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Desired:

  • Strong understanding of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes and product fulfillment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage change in complex technical environments.
  • Experience managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational delivery.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Multidisciplinary approach to systems engineering and problem-solving.
