is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join its welcoming Prescot practice in Merseyside.

As a Veterinary Surgeon at Prescot, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
The role provides the autonomy to manage cases independently alongside the reassurance of support from experienced veterinary professionals when needed. Medivet Prescot is part of the Medivet Partnership Programme and benefits from leadership by a highly experienced veterinary partner with more than two decades of clinical expertise.
The clinic is supported by a dedicated onsite team including:
- Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
Veterinary Care Assistant
Client Care Assistant
Together, the team ensures smooth day-to-day operations, efficient diary management, and excellent client service.
The upcoming refurbishment will create a bright and modern clinical environment designed to support high-quality veterinary care and improved team wellbeing.

Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Deliver excellent clinical care during consultations and surgical procedures
Manage patient cases in line with professional and operational standards
Build tailored treatment plans and communicate effectively with clients
Work independently during sole charge shifts while collaborating with the wider Medivet network
Support clinical excellence and contribute to team development
Maintain accurate medical records and regulatory compliance
Participate in weekend, bank holiday, and occasional on-call rota duties
The role combines autonomy, continuity of care, and strong professional backing.
Working Pattern
A full-time role typically includes:
- 4-day working week
Weekend rotation across local clinics or Alder 24-hour hospital
Bank holiday and on-call participation
Flexible and part-time working options are also available for the right candidate.

- Be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
Enjoy first-opinion veterinary practice
Be comfortable with sole charge responsibilities
