About you
You’re a qualified veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) with experience in emergency and critical care (ECC). Beyond your clinical skills, you bring a genuine commitment to patient care and client communication. You enjoy working independently when needed but also value being part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Your day-to-day role
In this position, you will:
- Provide high-quality care through consultations and surgical procedures
Create and communicate tailored treatment plans for each patient
Work closely with a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
Contribute to the wider clinical team by sharing knowledge and supporting development
Operate confidently as a sole-charge ECC vet during your shift
Working pattern:
1 week on, followed by 2 weeks off
This rota offers an excellent balance between intensive clinical work and extended rest periods.

Sutton 24h is a busy, well-equipped hospital delivering round-the-clock care. During the day, a team of five experienced vets ensures strong clinical support and continuity.
Overnight, three dedicated night teams provide structured and focused care, ensuring patients receive consistent attention while maintaining a sustainable workload for staff.
