As a Care Assistant at Langdon House Care Home, you will play a key role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort are always a top priority.

About Langdon House Care Home:
Located in a peaceful area of Chesterton, just three miles from Cambridge city center, Langdon House is a distinguished residential care home. We take great pride in offering a family-like atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and outstanding care for our residents. Our home provides 24-hour care for up to 51 residents, creating a warm, nurturing environment for everyone who calls it home.

About the Role:
As a Care Assistant, reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will provide personalized care to our residents, taking into account their unique needs and preferences. You will also have the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities with the residents, helping to enrich their daily lives. Ensuring that care plans are regularly updated and appropriate is also a vital part of your role.

Sponsorship is available for this role.

Salary:

• Days: £12.10 per hour
• Nights: £13.23 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Up to 44 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, worked on a rota basis (Monday to Sunday)

Home Location:
20 Union Lane, Chesterton, Cambridge, CB4 1QB (3 miles from Cambridge city center)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized care to residents, including continuous assessment, planning, and evaluation of their care needs.
• Assist residents during mealtimes, ensuring meals are suitable for their individual requirements.
• Support and engage in activities to promote person-centred care and resident well-being.
• Attend all necessary training, including statutory, mandatory, and developmental courses.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• A genuine passion for caring for others, with a strong commitment to putting residents’ needs first.
• Previous experience in a care role is highly desirable, and an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred, though we are happy to support you in gaining the required qualifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
