Job Title: Assistant Librarian – Content Discovery and Acquisitions

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Librarian for Content Discovery and Acquisitions to join our dynamic library team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and delivering a cost-effective, high-quality service for:
The discovery of resources within the library’s collections, including the bibliographical and metadata records that describe them.
The cataloguing processes, including record creation and maintenance.
The acquisitions process, which involves procuring or leasing e-books, print books, and other resources or content, as well as preparing these materials for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and management of resource discovery tools and metadata systems for library collections.
- Assist in cataloguing and maintaining records for the library’s physical and electronic resources.
- Coordinate acquisitions of new content, including overseeing procurement processes and ensuring materials are ready for use.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance user access to resources and improve the library’s service offerings.
