About the Role:

As an Industrial Placement student in our Core Technology Team, you will be an integral part of our IT Department. You’ll bring your analytical mindset and high standards to tackle a range of exciting, real-world challenges. Working closely with colleagues across IT, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to enhancing and evolving our network systems, supporting the team both on and off the track.

During your placement, you’ll work with cutting-edge networking technologies in areas like data centre management, campus and wireless networking, perimeter security, and associated software systems.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

Undergraduate Studies: You must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies and have at least one year remaining in your degree program (undergraduate or postgraduate) at the time of your placement start in July 2025.

Technical Background: Strong foundation in computer science, with a solid understanding of networking and security principles.

Self-motivated and Team-Oriented: Capable of working independently and collaboratively, with excellent organization, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Adaptability: A flexible approach to tasks and hours, with the ability to work to strict deadlines and minimal supervision.

Growth Mindset: We value candidates who are eager to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Whether or not you have a prior interest in motorsport, if you are passionate about technology and continuous development, we want to hear from you.

Desirable:

Networking Certifications: Any industry-recognized certifications would be a plus.

Relevant Degree: Working towards a degree in computer networks, network security, or computer science.

Passion for IT and Technology: A genuine enthusiasm for IT and emerging technologies.

Skills You Will Gain:

Network Design & Management: Gain hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network systems.

System Optimization: Learn to analyze network requirements and optimize operations across multiple sites.

Configuration & Support: Work with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices, providing technical support for hardware and software.

IP Address Management: Gain expertise in managing network IP addresses and handling network requirements.

Device & Server Management: Experience upgrading and maintaining critical network infrastructure.
