Job Description

Exciting Opportunity: Duty Manager – Southampton Community Crisis Service, The Lighthouse

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Southampton community crisis service, The Lighthouse. This is a 12-month secondment to cover maternity leave. As the Duty Pharmacy Manager, you will manage a small team of clinicians and provide direct clinical care while offering leadership to the practitioner and peer specialist team. Co-production is at the heart of our model, and you will play a key role in driving and maintaining this approach.

This service is a collaboration between Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Solent Mind, with clinical staff employed by HIOW and Peer Specialists employed by Solent Mind.

The Lighthouse is a self-referral, drop-in service for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. It is accessible to all in our community, and our clinical model emphasizes self-management and partnership with staff to create safety plans based on peer support and recovery-focused approaches. This model challenges traditional, prescriptive methods of care.

About the Role
The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of crisis care for adult mental health service users in Southampton. We are looking for a candidate with passion and enthusiasm for crisis care and a strong drive for service development.
