The Opportunity:
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to develop a wide range of brain tumour research skills at the Human Genetics Unit (HGU) within the Institute of Genetics and Cancer (IGC). The successful candidate will maintain and enhance brain tumour tissue culture models and conduct experimental work to study how these cells respond to DNA damage. Specifically, the role will focus on using laboratory techniques to explore how extra-chromosomal DNA (ecDNA) reacts to DNA damage. You will be part of a dynamic group of brain tumour researchers within a Cancer Research UK Brain Tumour Centre of Excellence (BT-CoE), which is also part of the CRUK Scotland Centre.
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week), though we are open to considering part-time or flexible working arrangements.
