Job Description
What inspired you to become a nurse?
- Did you want to provide compassionate care and make a difference in the lives of those in need?
- Was it your passion for learning and the opportunity to collaborate with multi-professional teams in an ever-evolving field?
Whatever your reason, at HC-One, the Kind Care Company, we offer a career where your kindness is genuinely valued and rewarded. Whether you’re just starting your nursing journey or have years of experience, working in a care home environment is incredibly fulfilling. It’s an opportunity to practice nursing while building meaningful, long-lasting relationships with residents and their families.
We’re looking for compassionate nurses to join our dedicated care home teams across the UK, offering competitive pay rates that increase with your experience, along with a wide range of attractive company benefits.
About You
As a Charge Nurse at HC-One, you will oversee the care of all residents in your assigned area of the care home. You will also be responsible for running the home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. Your duties will include following up on resident health concerns, administering prescribed medications, and maintaining records in line with statutory legal requirements, all while prioritizing resident wellbeing above all else.
You’ll be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin and a strong understanding of your commitment to professional standards set by the NMC. You’ll be passionate about mentoring your colleagues and sharing your knowledge, as well as supporting students as a practice supervisor and assessor. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, and you’ll role model professional behavior.
You’ll advocate for and deliver person-centred care, ensuring residents and their families are at the heart of all decisions. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, so it’s crucial that you can recognize the signs of potential abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues will receive safeguarding training relevant to their role and ongoing training in related areas.
Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for applicants with at least 2 years of experience who currently reside in the UK. Please note that we are unable to accept applications from those living outside the UK at this time.

We focus on the professional and personal growth of our colleagues, providing robust career pathways, continuous professional development (CPD), and postgraduate programs. At HC-One, we make sure your career is fulfilling and varied, empowering you to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care.
