Summer Internship Programme Overview

Join us as a summer intern and explore the worlds of finance and technology. Dive into our culture by participating in real-world projects that provide a full business picture. Choose your preferred business field for an in-depth introduction, with immediate responsibilities guided by a mentor and line manager. In this ten-week adventure, you’ll make connections, explore new vistas, and discover opportunities for growth. Join us over the summer of your penultimate or final year of university to develop skills, broaden your knowledge, and embark on a meaningful route to a lucrative profession.

As a Summer Analyst, you will learn from a variety of specialist areas, including equity and debt origination, loans, structuring, risk management, and syndication. These areas are organised into four business units: Debt Capital Markets, Risk Solutions Group, Equity Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance. Regardless of which sector you intern in, you will learn from the finest in the business, immerse yourself in our culture, and participate in real-world initiatives.

This training allows you to work on live negotiations and proposals, prepare fresh business presentations, and learn the art of transaction execution.

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate or final year of a degree in any field.

Ideally, you will have a strong interest in business and finance as well as a desire to learn. We respect ingenuity, teamwork, passion, and entrepreneurial spirit, all of which can be demonstrated through your participation in extracurricular activities.

The purpose of the function

To engage in the capital markets division’s day-to-day operations by giving insights and skills that assist senior colleagues in making informed decisions, developing new products and services, and identifying new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for capital markets, and providing holistic, structured solutions to a diverse range of corporate clients.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance corporate objectives.
  • Participation in training and development programs designed to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Identifying possibilities, developing business cases, and managing the implementation and launch of new goods and services for capital markets.
  • Management of the development and implementation of financial models and techniques to aid capital market decision-making.
  • Training and mentoring for junior coworkers.
