The Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an organised and motivated Team Administrator to join the York Crisis Team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the clinical team, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of services that support patients and healthcare professionals.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a fast-paced setting. The Trust is seeking an individual with strong organisational skills, a proactive approach, and excellent customer service abilities.
Although previous NHS experience is not essential, experience within an administrative or office-based role is required.
The position involves supporting clinical teams with scheduling, communication, documentation, record management, and coordination tasks while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Main Responsibilities
As Team Administrator, your duties may include:
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to the York Crisis Team
Managing diaries, appointments, meetings, and correspondence
Preparing documents, reports, and meeting minutes
Handling telephone enquiries and communicating with service users and professionals
Maintaining accurate filing systems and confidential records
Supporting the coordination of workloads and office processes
Assisting with data entry and information management tasks
Working collaboratively with healthcare staff and external stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Previous experience working in an administrative or office environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Qualifications
Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
GCSE/O Level Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualifications)
Desirable Experience
- Experience within healthcare or clinical administration
Knowledge of NHS systems and procedures
Business Administration Level 3 qualification
Secretarial or supervisory experience
