About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and patient-focused General Practitioner to join our supportive and forward-looking practice for 6 sessions per week. This role is ideal for someone seeking stability, a positive working culture, and a genuine opportunity to progress into a Partnership position in the future.

You’ll work within a structured triage system (Anima), helping manage patient demand efficiently while keeping workloads safe and sustainable.
What You’ll Be Doing
Clinical Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality consultations (face-to-face, phone, and online)
Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and long-term conditions
Prescribe safely in line with national guidelines
Carry out home visits when clinically appropriate
Review test results and follow up on patient care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
Patient Safety & Quality
- Provide evidence-based care aligned with best practice standards
Participate in safeguarding for vulnerable patients
Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and governance activities
Work within regulatory frameworks including NHS England guidance
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and PCN colleagues
Attend and contribute to clinical meetings
Support training or mentoring of junior staff if appropriate
Help shape and improve service delivery
Administrative Duties
- Process referrals, prescriptions, and clinical documents
Manage workflows using the triage system
Stay up to date with practice systems and processes
Professional Development
- Maintain appraisal and revalidation requirements
Engage in CPD and training
Explore leadership or specialist clinical interests

Person Requirements
Essential
- Fully qualified GP with registration on the General Medical Council GP Register
Inclusion on the NHS Performers List
MRCGP (or equivalent) and completion of GP training (CCT or equivalent)
Strong clinical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
- Experience in UK general practice
Familiarity with triage systems such as Anima
Interest in a specialist clinical area (e.g. diabetes, mental health)
Leadership or mentoring experience
Understanding of QOF and primary care frameworks
Compliance & Checks
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in line with UK regulations.
