About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our BEMS Optimizations division at Optimized. You’ll play a key role in delivering small to medium-sized projects — including upgrades, optimization works, and both planned and reactive maintenance — while contributing to long-term energy efficiency and decarbonization goals for our clients.
You’ll be hands-on in software strategy development, project delivery, and client engagement, working closely with Project Managers and occasionally leading small teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver small and medium-scale BEMS projects, including upgrades and optimization works
Lead or support commissioning, integration, and software modification activities
Develop and deploy building control and energy optimisation solutions
Oversee projects from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to meet project objectives
Conduct PPM and reactive maintenance across client sites
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for improvement
Promote best practices in Health & Safety, including RAMS reviews and site assessments
Support business growth through knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring within the project team
What We’re Looking For
Qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/ONC or equivalent)
Proven experience maintaining and optimising Building Management Systems (BMS)
Proficiency in Trend (IQ Vision desirable) and/or Tridium systems
Knowledge or experience with Cylon systems (desirable)
Strong problem-solving and technical skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
