A Clinical Role in the Heart of Islington

This maternity cover position is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical skills who enjoys working in a busy first-opinion setting while being part of a supportive and friendly team.
The Working Environment
You’ll join a close-knit clinical team that includes experienced vets and a supportive Branch Partner. The practice values teamwork, communication, and a shared commitment to high-quality patient care.
The clinic is fully equipped to support a wide range of procedures, including:
- In-house laboratory diagnostics
Digital X-ray imaging
Ultrasound
Dental services
On-site surgical theatre
This setup allows you to manage both routine and more advanced cases confidently within a well-supported environment.
Your Role
In this position, you’ll take responsibility for delivering high-quality veterinary care across consultations and surgery. Your key duties will include:
- Performing clinical consultations and surgical procedures
Managing cases with a strong focus on patient welfare and outcomes
Developing tailored treatment plans with pet owners
Working collaboratively within a supportive clinical team
Maintaining high standards of professional and regulatory compliance
Contributing to the wider development of clinical practice within the network
Working Pattern
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
4-day working week
1 in 3 Saturdays
Fixed-term maternity cover contract

About You
This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who:
- Holds MRCVS registration
Has strong experience in small animal surgery and general practice
Communicates effectively with clients and colleagues
Enjoys working as part of a supportive team
Is committed to high clinical standards and patient care
