Lead Veterinary Surgeon (UK Visa Sponsorship)

Job Description

A Leadership Opportunity in One of London’s Most Prestigious Locations

Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career within a modern, high-profile London practice? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Lead Vet position at a beautifully refurbished boutique-style clinic located close to Hyde Park in Central London.

Combining contemporary facilities with the energy and prestige of a prime London setting, this role offers the chance to shape a growing practice while being fully supported by an established and highly respected veterinary network.

About the Practice

The Hyde Park clinic has recently undergone extensive renovation and has been thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming, professional, and efficient environment for both clients and clinical teams.

Facilities include:

  • Spacious reception and client waiting area
    Three large consulting rooms
Fully equipped surgical theatre and preparation area
    In-house laboratory services
    Digital X-ray technology
Modern equipment supporting first-opinion veterinary care

You will work closely with a skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse and a dedicated Client Care Assistant, creating a positive and collaborative working atmosphere where patient care always comes first.

Your Role as Lead Vet

As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a key role in shaping both the clinical standards and the overall client experience within the practice.

This position offers genuine autonomy and leadership responsibility, allowing you to influence the direction of the clinic while maintaining strong clinical support from the wider Central London veterinary network.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality medical and surgical care to patients
Leading clinical decision-making and maintaining excellent standards of practice
Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the team
Building strong client relationships through clear communication and compassionate care
Managing and developing clinical workflows within the practice
Collaborating with the wider referral and hospital network when required
Contributing to continuous improvement and professional development initiatives

Advanced Clinical Support

Although this is a leadership role within a first-opinion practice, you will never feel professionally isolated.

The clinic is closely connected to the Kensington 24-Hour Hospital, giving direct access to:

  • Advanced diagnostics
    Emergency and critical care support
    Experienced certificate holders
    Specialist colleagues across Central London
Continuity of care for more complex cases

This structure allows you to continue developing your own clinical interests while providing exceptional patient outcomes.

Partnership & Career Growth

For ambitious veterinary professionals, this opportunity also offers a clear pathway towards Partnership.

This creates the potential to combine clinical leadership with future practice ownership and long-term career investment, all while being backed by an established veterinary organisation.
