About the Role
GE Aerospace (Dowty Propellers) is seeking a Lead Quality Systems Engineer to join its Quality Systems and Compliance Team at the company’s headquarters in Brockworth, Gloucester.
In this role, you will play a key part in business transformation initiatives, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) migration and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation. You will develop, deploy, and maintain quality processes that support these systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
As a subject matter expert, you’ll also provide ongoing support to system users and help drive continuous improvement across business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and implement quality processes integrated with ERP and MES systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Review and optimise current quality gateway processes using Lean methodologies to align with ERP capabilities.
Represent the Quality function in the design, testing, and rollout of new systems and processes.
Participate in Conference Room Pilot (CRP) sessions to ensure that quality and product safety requirements are met and signed off as fit for purpose.
Develop and maintain quality procedures aligned with AS/EN9100 standards and EASA Part 21 and Part 145 regulatory requirements.
Conduct audits of IT infrastructure against EASA Part-IS compliance standards.
Act as system superuser and account manager, ensuring sustainability and user support for ERP, MES, and other quality-related applications.
Maintain and oversee other quality pillar applications that support business processes.
Develop a quality systems roadmap that aligns with corporate strategy and business goals.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Proven experience in business process change management and system implementation.
Strong understanding of AS9100, EASA Part 21, and Part 145 regulatory standards.
Experience hosting external audits with certification or regulatory bodies.
Solid knowledge of quality-gated processes and control points.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations in an engineering or aerospace environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all business levels.
Strong analytical, written, and organisational abilities.
