Summary

 

In this post, you will be responsible for driving GE Aerospace’s compliant payroll delivery, with a focus on compliance, customer experience/satisfaction, vendor engagement, issue resolution, and process standardisation. This person will also foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to sustain operational success by leveraging measurements and trends and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Job Description.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Lead Payroll procedures, ensuring that high accuracy and quality are maintained in accordance with applicable legal and GE Aerospace policy requirements.
  • To guarantee successful execution, demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of payroll processing operations.
  • Manage third-party payroll and time providers to ensure that their services are frictionless, compliant, and of high quality.
  • Lead and assist applicable payroll audits, whether initiated internally or by third parties.
  • Proactively identify and drive continuous improvement within assigned processes; collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose process enhancements that eliminate waste and manual labour, align with global standards, and increase productivity.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders from Finance functions, the larger Workforce Experience & Insights Team, and the HR Client Delivery team to promote open communication and a successful partnership among our HR community, employees, and People Leaders.
  • Manage payroll KPIs and use metrics to discover trends or issues in order to maintain and enhance performance levels.
  • Own and handle escalated queries, ensuring that lessons learned are understood and mitigation measures are in place for the future.
  • Create a culture of service excellence within the team and encourage “Best in Class” customer service.
  • Ensure that teams are aligned and that the necessary skills are in place to deliver on the organisational strategy.
  • Develop and manage the team’s continued advancement (both locally and offshore), including detailed development plans.
  • Create a strong performance management culture in the team by defining clear expectations, prioritising tasks, communicating often, and providing feedback.
  • Champion training and induction processes for new team members and role changes; plan and carry out training to effectively meet team requirements.
  • Be the payroll policy specialist, and be able to collaborate with product owners on design concepts.
  • Maintain GE Aerospace’s high standards of ethics and compliance throughout the workforce.
  • Drive and improve employee engagement.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an approved university or college in a related field.
  • Experience with payroll or related activities, preferably in a multinational organisation.
  • Experience in direct people leadership.
  • Significant past professional job experience, including achievement and leadership in a Payroll & Benefits and Service-oriented setting.
  • Travel will be required as needed to support the team and its customers in the region.
  • To be successful in this capacity, you must be able to operate comfortably and efficiently in a complex and frequently changing work environment that includes multiple stakeholder groups and countries.
  • Location: We prefer that the candidate be in one of the following countries: the United Kingdom.

  • Proven track record of managing metrics, which includes analysis, trend identification, and prompt decision-making.

  • Capability to anticipate and overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to drive process improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
