JOB SUMMARY

 

We are seeking a devoted, professional, and experienced Executive Administration Manager to provide great support to the School of Agriculture, Policy, and Development (SAPD) and our commercial farm operations, which includes Hall Farm, Arborfield, and Sonning Farm. This position entails handling high-level administrative duties, assisting with the smooth day-to-day operations of the farm and its workforce, and collaborating closely with the Farm Manager and Research Manager, to whom they will report.

Key responsibilities:

  • Farm Business Administration involves planning and allocating resources, managing connections between teaching, research, and commercial farms, and monitoring budgets, requisitions, and invoices. Oversee the record-keeping and accounting processes.
  • Assist with financial administration, including personnel timesheets, contract costing, and project management. Liaise with university departments on research grants and budget management.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating communication between Farm and Research Managers, managing information for School staff, and serving as committee secretary.
  • Responsibilities include facilitating communication between stakeholders and researchers, organising external visiting arrangements, and attending stakeholder events.
  • Building and Site Management: Manage maintenance, equipment, and space allocation. Collaborate with university departments on construction, housing, and security.
  • Personnel management involves monitoring employment contracts and ensuring compliance with HR processes.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety, data protection, and environmental requirements.
