Job Title: Senior Strategy Manager

Salary range: £75,600 – £113,000 per year (based on experience).

Location: Larne (hybrid, 3 days in office).

The Opportunity

As a Senior Strategy Manager in the Electric Power Division (EPD), you will have the opportunity to grow the electric power business by developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies and integrated customer offerings to provide more valuable energy outcomes to customers.

This job reports to the Senior Strategy Director of the Electric Power Division. To address the changing requirements of the energy economy, we must look forward, have persuasive abilities, and a strong desire to expand and utilise our strengths in new ways and markets. It is based on a growth mindset, customer focus, and the capacity to champion and drive change.

The position necessitates a strong external emphasis for developing market research and collaborations with technology suppliers, as well as the capacity to discover and assess prospective inorganic growth prospects in adjacent and transformative growth sectors. Collaboration with internal business partners is critical for developing our capabilities, providing more valuable solutions for our clients, and profitably growing our business.

What you’ll Do:

  • Assess the market, taking into account competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs, and the company’s position in the industry.
  • Evaluate market evaluations and create market opportunity estimates for specific growth prospects.
  • Create profit models for growth opportunities using Caterpillar’s conventional decision-making frameworks.
  • Create external contacts and relationships with market participants, prospective customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement growth initiatives, such as evaluating possible partners, implementing branding strategies, and taking advantage of growth prospects.
  • Lead cross-functional engagement with internal business partners and external consultants to identify industry trends and develop business growth strategies.
  • Plan and manage essential initiatives for the department and the organisation.

You will have:

Ensures that vital messages are clearly comprehended.
  • Demonstrates extensive negotiation experience, including knowledge of effective concepts and approaches, as well as the ability to collaborate constructively with external partners and clients. Successfully completes major internal and external negotiations. Protects one’s own position while exhibiting a desire to work for mutual benefit.
  • Expert Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyse events and make educated conclusions. Coaches others on various decision-making theories, procedures, and practices. Anticipates particular issues and concerns for making successful decisions during a crisis. Shares experiences with the best times and circumstances for refraining from or making decisions.
  • Expertise in data collection and analysis requires knowledge of tools, methodologies, and procedures, as well as the ability to objectively collect and synthesise data from many stakeholders and sources to reach a result or judgement. Creates data analysis risk-reduction methods. Forecasts the market’s data collection and analysis tendencies.

 

Additional information:

This employment will demand between 30% and 50% travel.
