We have a Community Nursing post available at Upper Lea Valley ICT, which serves Hoddesdon, Hertford, Ware, Standon, and the adjacent communities.

HCT is happy to offer a Preceptorship programme to all newly qualified practitioners and international recruited staff, assisting them in transitioning to independent, confident, and competent practitioners. The annual program will address themes such as patient safety, communication skills, safeguarding, quality improvement, leadership, and management. As a Preceptee, you will have regular meetings with your preceptor and the AHP Preceptorship Lead.

If you are a student nurse, please be aware that working in an acute trust is not required before obtaining your first post in the community, since we give comprehensive training and support.

Although this is a full-time position, we encourage applications from part-time candidates.

We provide routine and quick response nursing seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. We are searching for eager and motivated nurses to join our pleasant and supportive team, which includes GPs, Therapists, Social Workers, and CPNs.

This is an excellent place to begin your nursing career or obtain practical experience in community nursing. Our nurses are trained in wound care, pharmaceutical delivery, including IV therapy, bladder and bowel management, and palliative care.

Successful candidates will be assisted by experienced senior professionals and specialised nursing services. There is a diverse training package to help you expand your community skills, including courses offered by the University of Hertfordshire such as mentorship and prescription.

As a member of the Primary Health Care Team, the post holder may manage the team and caseload in the absence of the Community Nursing Sister.
The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating personalised nursing care for community patients. The service is available seven days a week.
