JOB SUMMARY
As a Team Leader at Alex Wood House and Langdon House Care Home, you will be in charge of leading, managing, and supporting our care team, who are passionate about creating memories for our residents and providing high-quality care.
About the care homes:
Alex Wood House and Langdon House are outstanding residential care residences in Cambridge. We take pride in our family-friendly atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and exceptional care for all of our residents.
We are located in a quiet corner of Chesterton, on the north eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the town. Our home provides excellent 24-hour care for up to 51 individuals.

About the role:
As a Team Leader, you will play an important role in providing care in the home. Our Team Leader works with us to ensure that the highest standards of care are met in all areas of the home.

Salary:
Days cost £13.63 per hour.
Nights: £15.30 per hour.
Shift Pattern:
44 hours per week, with 12-hour stints done on a rotating basis from Monday to Sunday.
Home is located in Chesterton/Arbury, Cambridge, CB4 1QB, approximately 3 miles from the city centre.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To be central to our care. Providing leadership and direction to the care team when on duty.
Assist, motivate, and inspire our care team to provide great care.
Manage the supervision, evaluation, and performance of our care staff. Every individual is celebrated, and we help our team reach their full potential.
To perform increased clinical care activities, including clinical observations of blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, temperature, and blood oxygenation level, as well as monitoring urine output.
Training, skills, and experience are required.
We’re seeking for someone who is genuinely kind and will prioritise our residents’ needs.
Experience in a similar elder care position is required.
You must have an NVQ Level 3 in health and social care.
Proven track record of leading, enabling, assisting, and encouraging teams.
You must live in the United Kingdom.
