About the role
This role supports current and future automation investments by promoting the advancement of scholarship in automation-coordinated design. This position will rely on a wide range of manufacturing expertise and experience to provide day-to-day support for all B-made operations. The major goal will be to assist users in accessing the potential of our numerically controlled equipment. You will be in charge of running and maintaining our current Haas 3 axis, 5 axis, and turn-mill equipment, as well as a Felder panel router. The primary support you will provide will include consultation on intelligent design for NC manufacture, CAM guidance and file checking, machine inductions, and supervision. This post will support teaching and research activities in B-made and throughout the Faculty, as well as the development of Health and Safety and other strategic departmental and cross-faculty objectives. About You
The chosen candidate should have considerable, demonstrated experience in design and manufacturing, with a concentration on NC machines and CAD/CAM software. You will have a set of complimentary abilities that will increase your worth in our other B-made disciplines, such as metallurgy, woodworking, and ceramics. Experience working in higher education is advantageous but not required.
