Location: Countywide (Lewes, Eastbourne, Hastings)
Contract: Permanent / Full-Time
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications
Interviews: 25 March 2025 (Face-to-Face at County Hall, Lewes)

Are you passionate about inclusion and dedicated to improving outcomes for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? The SEND EHCP Transitions KS4+ team is seeking experienced and dynamic advisors to support schools and further education settings in creating inclusive learning environments.

What You’ll Do

✔ Work with secondary and further education settings, families, and professionals to build inclusive cultures
✔ Support schools and colleges in conducting Annual Reviews of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) at key transition points
✔ Model best practices to strengthen transition planning for students
✔ Ensure that young people’s voices and their families’ perspectives are central to the planning process
✔ Provide guidance, training, and capacity-building to schools and colleges
✔ Manage your own workload, balancing statutory deadlines and priorities

What We’re Looking For

✅ QTS or QTLS qualification
✅ Experience teaching young people with additional needs in secondary and/or further education
✅ Ability to build strong, productive relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
✅ Proven track record of using student voice to inform planning and review processes
✅ Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and deadlines
