JOB SUMMARY
Cradlefin Consultants is looking for midwives from outside the UK who are in the process of obtaining their NMC registration and planning their career in midwifery in the UK. Main duties:
1. You will be accountable for meeting the needs of our service consumers by providing high-quality care.
2. You will provide person-centred antenatal care and following care during the intrapartum and postpartum period.
3. You will be responsible for assessing care requirements, developing, implementing, and evaluating care programmes.
4. You will be expected to provide all necessary types of care and actively work towards obtaining the competences stated in the midwifery scale.
5. To plan, administer, and evaluate prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for the mother and her baby, ensuring that this is carried out by the midwife or other allotted staff.
6. Ensure that care is current, evidence-based, and egalitarian, including spiritual and cultural beliefs and reflecting the needs of a varied society.
7. Participate in creating off-duty rotas and be responsible for organising enough cover in cases of absence or sudden illness when in charge of a clinical area in the hospital or community.
8. To assist and participate in in-service training and induction programs, as applicable.
Qualifications and requirements:
1. IELTS or OET cleared, CBT finished.
2. Registered midwife (NMC).
3. Organisational abilities and the capacity to function effectively within a management system.
4. An effective communicator and team player.
5. Basic IT skills.
6. Working knowledge of NMC. The Code (2015) outlines PREPP for midwifery.
7. Willingness to participate in Trust audits and projects, with knowledge of clinical governance.
8. Working understanding of the midwife’s public health responsibilities, including child 9. Protection, Domestic Abuse, Substance Misuse, Mental Health, and Weight Management
9. Working knowledge of the NMC Midwives Rules and Standards (2012).
