Job Summary

COVER SUPERVISOR
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only
Working Pattern: Part-Time (19.5 hours per week, 3 days per week)
Salary: SLT Support Payscale Grade D, pro rata (£24,790 – £25,584 FTE)
Actual Salary: £10,954.50 – £11,305.36 per year (based on 19.5 hours per week)

About the Role

  • As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
  • Supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and productive.
  • Support students across various subjects, helping them stay on track with their learning.
  • Use strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
  • Work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced school environment.

This role is an excellent stepping stone for those considering a career in teaching or student support.

What We’re Looking For

  • A proactive and confident individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong ICT skills and the ability to use current software packages.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is desirable, but training will be provided.
