About the Role
This role offers an opportunity to become a key part of a specialist Eating Disorders Service, providing essential administrative and secretarial support to consultants and the wider medical team.
You will act as a central point of coordination, ensuring communication flows smoothly between clinicians, patients, and external services. Your work will directly support the delivery of safe, organised, and patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full secretarial support to consultants and clinical staff
Manage incoming correspondence, including emails, referrals, and clinical documents
Type and prepare clinical letters and reports from audio dictation or written notes
Arrange and coordinate patient appointments and maintain accurate records
Act as the main contact point for enquiries from patients, carers, and professionals
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, GPs, social workers, and external agencies
Ensure information is handled confidentially and shared appropriately
Working Environment
You will work within a multidisciplinary team that supports individuals experiencing eating disorders. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with sensitivity and professionalism.
