About the Role
The Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (ACCA) is looking for an Artistic Programme Manager to help shape and deliver a dynamic programme of performances and events.
In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Cultural Programmes & Engagement to curate a diverse and engaging artistic programme. This will include theatre, dance, music, film, and interdisciplinary work designed to connect with a wide range of audiences, including students and the wider community.
You will also play an active role in building partnerships—both maintaining existing relationships and identifying new opportunities with artists, organisations, and cultural networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a high-quality artistic programme across multiple artforms
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop engaging events
Build and maintain relationships with artists, student groups, and cultural organisations
Manage project timelines, budgets, contracts, and production planning
Support the University’s wider goals around community engagement and cultural participation
Contribute to the strategic direction of the arts programme within the Division
About You
You will be a creative and organised professional with experience in arts programming and production.
Essential qualities include:
- Proven experience delivering artistic programmes in venues, festivals, or higher education settings
Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling
Ability to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Confidence working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
A passion for inclusive and accessible arts and culture
Working Environment
This role is based within the Library, Culture & Heritage Division, which brings together the University Library, The Keep archive, and ACCA.
The Centre delivers a vibrant programme of:
- Live performances (theatre, dance, music)
Film screenings and digital arts
Talks, debates, and community-focused events
Due to the nature of the role, full-time availability is required. Some flexibility (such as compressed hours or limited remote working) may be considered depending on programme needs.
