Advanced Surgical Vet(UK Visa Sponsorship)

Job Description

A Role That Moves Your Surgical Career Forward

If you’re an experienced veterinary surgeon with advanced surgical skills, this role offers a chance to step into a position where your expertise truly matters. Based in a busy 24-hour hospital in Hendon, you’ll be working in an environment designed for high-level clinical work rather than routine-only practice.

This hospital operates as both a primary care centre and a referral hub, meaning you’ll regularly handle complex and varied surgical cases. It’s an ideal setting if you’re looking to deepen your specialism and take ownership of your clinical work.

The Clinical Setting

You’ll join a well-established surgical team that includes orthopaedic and soft tissue specialists, supported by a wider group of experienced vets and certificate holders. Collaboration is a key part of daily practice, giving you space to discuss, learn, and refine your approach.

The hospital is equipped with advanced tools that support modern veterinary surgery, including:

  • Orthopaedic systems such as TPLO equipment
Spinal and minimally invasive surgery facilities
    Arthroscopy and laparoscopy
    CT and MRI imaging
    Endoscopy and advanced diagnostics

This is a setting where you can work to a very high clinical standard without being limited by equipment or support.

What Your Day Will Look Like

In this role, your focus will be on delivering high-quality surgical care while also contributing to the wider clinical team. You’ll:

  • Perform orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries
Manage your own caseload, including complex referrals
Build treatment plans in partnership with pet owners
Support and mentor colleagues within the team
Maintain compliance with professional and regulatory standards

  • Holds MRCVS registration
Has completed (or is working towards) a surgical certificate
