Medivet Northallerton is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who wants a more flexible working pattern without stepping away from high-quality clinical work. This part-time role is ideal if you’re balancing other commitments but still want to stay fully engaged in patient care and team collaboration.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring pets receive consistent, compassionate, and professional treatment, while also contributing to a supportive and positive practice environment.
Your Role in Practice
As a Veterinary Surgeon here, you’ll take responsibility for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Carrying out consultations and routine surgical procedures
Managing patient care from diagnosis through to treatment and follow-up
Communicating clearly with clients and building trust
Working closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
Maintaining high standards of clinical governance and compliance
Working Pattern

Part-time: 2 to 3 days per week
Flexible scheduling can be discussed to suit your availability

About You
This role would suit someone who:
- Holds MRCVS registration
Is confident in general practice (consults and routine surgery)
Communicates effectively with both clients and colleagues
Enjoys working as part of a team
Takes pride in delivering high standards of patient care
