About the Opportunity
This role is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys the challenge of complex medical cases and wants to deepen their expertise in areas such as internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, or cardiology.
Based in a well-established North London practice, you’ll have the chance to follow cases through from diagnosis to treatment, allowing for genuine continuity of care. The environment is designed to support clinical curiosity, giving you both the time and resources to investigate cases thoroughly and build your own area of special interest.
Your Day-to-Day Role
Rather than focusing purely on routine work, this position allows you to engage with a diverse and evolving caseload. You’ll play a key role in shaping how clinical services develop within the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing medical cases from initial consultation through to diagnosis and treatment
Applying and developing diagnostic skills, including imaging and investigative work
Building strong, lasting relationships with clients through consistent care
Supporting the development of clinical standards and in-house services
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider veterinary network
Ensuring compliance with UK animal welfare and clinical regulationsÂ
The Practice
Located in Canonbury, this practice benefits from a loyal client base and a growing demand for more advanced clinical services. Its North London setting provides excellent accessibility, with nearby transport connections making commuting straightforward.
Working Pattern
- 4-day working week (with a regular day off)
Flexible weekend rota (either 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends)

About You
You’ll be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) who enjoys working through complex cases and has a strong interest in developing a clinical niche. Whether you already hold a certificate or are working towards one, you’ll be supported in your progression.
