About the Organisation
The UCL Ear Institute is an internationally recognised centre for research and education focused on hearing, balance, and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) care. The Institute brings together experts across multiple disciplines including genetics, neuroscience, audiology, and clinical medicine.
Working closely with partner hospitals and supported by a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre, the Institute plays a leading role in advancing hearing health research and training future specialists. It also offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional development programmes in audiology and related fields.
Role Overview
The Operations Officer will be a key member of the Professional Services team, responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of operational activities across the Institute.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operational services within the Institute.
Handle and resolve complex operational queries, working closely with internal teams and central university services.
Monitor existing processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices.
Coordinate and deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and short training programmes.
Organise and support internal events and academic activities.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant administrative experience in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Proven ability to support operations and manage events effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams.
Excellent organisational, time management, and project management abilities.
Capacity to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
