Chaplain(UK Visa Sponsorship)

Job Description

Supporting People When It Matters Most

Some moments in healthcare go beyond medicine—they require compassion, presence, and understanding. This role is about being there for patients, families, and staff during some of the most emotional and challenging times of their lives.

We are seeking a dedicated Chaplain to join our Spiritual and Pastoral Care team. If you are someone who can offer comfort, guidance, and inclusive support across different beliefs and backgrounds, this is a deeply meaningful opportunity.

About the Role

As a Chaplain, you will provide spiritual, pastoral, and religious care across hospital settings. Your work will involve both planned support and responding to urgent needs, ensuring that everyone—regardless of faith or belief—feels heard, respected, and supported.

You will work across multiple sites within the Trust, with your base at King’s Mill Hospital.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Offering one-to-one pastoral and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff
Visiting wards regularly and responding to referrals in a timely, compassionate manner
Taking part in a 24/7 on-call rota to provide urgent and end-of-life support
Supporting bereavement care, including sensitive involvement in funeral services
Providing guidance on ethical, cultural, and religious matters
Building connections with local faith and belief communities
Working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure holistic care
    A Unique and Meaningful Responsibility

One of the most significant aspects of this role includes supporting families experiencing loss—particularly in cases of:

  • Pregnancy or baby loss
    Child bereavement
Adults with no next of kin

Your presence and support during these times can make a lasting difference.
