Exciting Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Specialist – Haematology

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a dedicated nurse to join the Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team. This role is perfect for a nurse with a keen interest in haematology, stem-cell transplant, and apheresis. The Haematology CNS team is committed to delivering exceptional, specialist care and is focused on further improving the service we provide to our patients.

As a specialist nurse in haematology, you will have the opportunity to work across various clinical settings, including the acute inpatient ward, outpatient department, and the Headland Unit, which is a specialised day-case unit. The Haematology team is dynamic and forward-thinking, comprising seven consultants, a specialist registrar, and a haemostasis CNS team, all providing high-quality care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist nursing advice and psychological support to haematology patients and their families.

Offer expert guidance, education, and advice on all aspects of haematological care to healthcare professionals across various settings.

Work under the supervision of the Band 7 Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialists, utilising your specialist knowledge and skills.

Develop your role in multiple clinical environments, gaining experience in a range of haematological conditions and treatments.

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills.

In-depth understanding of chronic and malignant haematological conditions.

A desire to enhance your knowledge and skills in this specialist area.

A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary team setting.

This is a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours per week.
