If so, we invite you to join us as Impact and Partnerships Manager within the Healthy and Sustainable Places (HASP) data service at the University of Leeds.
Funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) as part of the Smart Data Research UK programme, HASP is a groundbreaking initiative designed to tackle some of society’s most persistent health and sustainability challenges. HASP provides a platform for place-based research powered by diverse data—from retail transactions to mobility and infrastructure sensors—supporting two core themes:

Healthy and Sustainable Mobility
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in translating academic insight into tangible societal benefits by building strong partnerships, facilitating impactful collaborations, and enabling research with real-world value.
Your Role
As Impact and Partnerships Manager, you will:
- Lead on capturing, tracking, and reporting the impact generated by HASP-supported research.
- Develop compelling impact narratives in collaboration with academic teams, data providers, and external stakeholders.
- Build and nurture relationships with data owners and delivery partners across the public and private sectors.
- Support the expansion of the service by engaging new data partners.
- Collaborate with professional services teams to implement legal and data-sharing agreements essential to Smart Data research.
- Champion HASP’s impact agenda within the University and across wider research networks.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid understanding of engagement and impact in the research environment, alongside strong relationship-building and communication skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working in research impact, knowledge exchange, or partnership development within an academic or research setting.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across sectors.
- Ability to develop impact case studies and reports aligned with research outcomes.
- Understanding of data governance, sharing agreements, and ethical research practice is highly desirable.
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Visa Sponsorship
This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. Applicants requiring sponsorship must ensure they meet salary or other eligibility criteria.
