About the Role

The Department of Strategy and Marketing at the University of Sussex Business School is recruiting a full-time Assistant Professor (Education & Scholarship pathway) with expertise in global strategy and marketing.

You will contribute to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules, which may include:

Marketing strategy

International marketing

Marketing analytics

Consumer research and consumer behaviour

The global business environment

Key responsibilities include:

Teaching: Delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops, as well as designing curricula, developing assessments, and mentoring students.

Administration: Supporting departmental operations, managing course-related tasks, and contributing to faculty committees.

Student Support: Supervising dissertations and providing academic and professional guidance.

You will join a diverse and vibrant department with strong expertise in marketing, strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and international business. The department is highly ranked in the region and nationally for marketing education and graduate prospects.

About You

Hold a PhD in Strategy, Marketing, or a closely related field.

Strong teaching background in higher education with evidence of student engagement and positive learning outcomes.

Ability to design and deliver engaging learning experiences across face-to-face and online settings.

Experience in supervising postgraduate research or dissertations.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic community.

Commitment to sustainability, ethics, and tackling global business challenges.
